| Περίληψη : | Sports since antiquity have had a special role in society and the daily life of people. Whether for fitness or entertainment but also for betting reasons, the sports industry is gaining more and more audience and therefore the requirements for research, development and optimization in each sector is a constant and dynamically changing challenge.Characteristic of our decade are the volume and speed with which data and information are produced. The term ‘sports analytics’ encompasses all modern technology in combination with math’s science and statistics that can take advantage of the surplus of data and information that in innumerable ways can be created and stored to be input for analytics’ tools. Sports’ occasions are being monitored constantly as every single detail relevant with sound, motion or pattern detection in a player’s behavior can be significant for datasets to be formed.In the world of sports, Artificial Intelligence in various forms leads the innovation and evolution of sports’ aspects. In the age of big data, Data Mining, Classification techniques, Machine Learning and Deep Learning in combination with Neural Networks create applications and decision-making models that have changed and continue to change the field of sports. In this work the object of interest is the influence of Analytics in the world of sports in fields where it already has practical results but also many more promising.
Ο αθλητισμός από την αρχαιότητα είχε ιδιαίτερο ρόλο στην κοινωνία και στην καθημερινότητα των ανθρώπων. Είτε για φυσική κατάσταση είτε για ψυχαγωγία αλλά και για στοιχηματικούς λόγους, η αθλητική βιομηχανία κερδίζει όλο και περισσότερο κοινό και ως εκ τούτου οι απαιτήσεις για έρευνα, ανάπτυξη και βελτιστοποίηση σε κάθε τομέα είναι μια συνεχής και δυναμικά μεταβαλλόμενη πρόκληση.
