Green Bonds are a relatively new investment option, but it is apparent that the world needs them. With climate change and other environmental dangers reaching all-time highs in 2021, there has never been more need for investments in environmental sustainability. Green bonds, while quite similar to conventional bonds, go through an exhaustive process of evaluation that decided their environmental appropriateness. This makes them more money and time consuming, but everything points out that they are the future. This paper will first present the concept of Green Bonds, their characteristics as well as their benefits through literature research and then will collect and interpret data on green conventional bonds and equity indices, through statistical analysis.
